PSA: Google Play offers 24/7 phone support for apps, books, movies and music

Image

Maybe it got lost in the transition from Android Market to Google Play, but it's come to our attention that Mountain View's now offering phone support for any issue related to its shop. The deal's fairly simple; if you happen to run into any troubles with apps, tunes, books or movies purchased from Play, then you can head to a dedicated support page, pop in your G credentials, let 'em know what the problem is, and within minutes a "specialist" should be ringing you. Indeed, a good move on Google's part. Now you know where to go the next time your favorite app goes missing.

Wrapsol Ultra Screen Protector for iPad 2 and New iPad Review

I don’t normally use screen protectors on my electronics.? Most screen and body protectors require liquid for a smooth application, and the application directions warn you to remove the battery and keep the device turned off for a couple of days until the liquid has all evaporated.? That’s great, but Apple iPhones and iPads don’t [...]

La La Anthony's Dating Advice: Think Like A Man!

Lala0418.jpg
Being in the spotlight hasn't kept La La Anthony from taking mainstream dating advice. The reality star and actress in the new movie Think Like A Man told In Touch that she read the Steve Harvey book that serves as inspiration for the film, and has applied some of the lessons to her own marriage with New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony.

"I think that it's excellent advice," La La said at The X-Rated Fusion Liqueur advance screening. "And you just take bits and pieces that kind of work for you. That's what I've done in my relationship and that's what I think people should do from reading the book and watching the movie."

The film centers around four dating couples, all of whom have their own obstacles to overcome. What the book, and in turn, the movie hopes to highlight is that women would be better served to try and think from a man's perspective, a sentiment La La echoes. "I think, in a way, what it means is women just tend to be super-emotional," La La said. "Where guys at times know how to take that emotion out. And I think women sometimes get too caught up in the feelings of things, that you stop thinking logically."

Think Like A Man opens April 20 and stars Kevin Hart and Gabrielle Union.

Who Needs a Bike When Your SUV Has a Built-In Exercise Machine? [Overkill]

We've all seen these ridiculously-equipped SUVs designed for the one percent before. They're full of stained wood accents, plush leather seating, and everything from big-screen TVs to coffee makers. But this is the first time we've seen one with a full-on exercise machine inside. More »

Threadflip Gets $1.6 Million From FRC, Baseline, A16Z, Dave Morin And Others To Virtualize The Clothing Swap

Screen Shot 2012-04-17 at 5.58.48 AMThere has to be something in the air: Just when I thought that I had enough distraction in my life, one more sweet clothing swap site launches, allowing me to focus on my hobby (fashion, and specifically upcycled fashion) while I'm supposed to be focusing on my work. In the same space as Poshmarks, 99Dresses and Copius, Threadflip allows you to upload and sell items of clothing as well as buy others' beloved but for whatever reason unwanted items of clothing. Unlike 99Dresses (which I am addicted to) Threadflip focuses on higher end clothing and expands beyond dresses to shoes, bags, accessories and jewelry.
